Michael R. O’Malley
Michael has practiced with the firm since 2026 in real estate taxation and related issues. He focuses on contesting real property values before the Cook County Assessor and Board of Review, the Illinois Property Tax Appeal Board, and in the Circuit Court. Michael also handles incentive class applications, divisions and consolidations of property parcels, and real estate tax exemptions.
Michael earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a Minor in Spanish from Miami University in 2018, and his Juris Doctor from DePaul University in 2021. Michael’s previous work experience in the property tax field includes working as a law clerk and attorney for various law firms since 2020.
He is an active member of the Illinois State and Chicago Bar Associations and served as Chair of the Real Estate Taxation Assessment & Appeals Subcommittee from 2023-2024.
