Dan is a senior real estate tax analyst for the firm. Prior to this position with SSM, Dan was the Chief Commercial-Industrial Hearing Officer for the Cook County Assessor, having worked in the Assessor’s Office for the previous 21 years.
As the Assessor’s Chief Commercial-Industrial Hearing Officer his responsibilities included final review of commercial-industrial valuation and certificate of error appeals, as well as omitted assessment (back tax) valuations and exemption applications. His responsibilities also included presentations before the International Association of Assessing Officers on the Assessor’s valuation of the “Loop Top 100 Buildings”, and before the Chicagoland Association of Shopping Center Owners on the Assessor’s valuation of shopping centers.
Dan is also a member of the International Association of Assessing Officer, a Certified Illinois Assessing Officer, and a designated Assessment Administration Specialist.
Dan is a graduate of Northern Illinois University and resides in Chicago with his wife and their three children.
