Richard A. Ginsburg
Dick Ginsburg serves as counsel to the firm in the areas of complex property tax analysis, real estate related litigation and commercial real estate transactions. He represents national hotel owners and operators, manufacturers, and restaurant chains, and local condominium developers and multi-unit apartment building owners with respect to their acquisitions, leasing and property tax consultation. Dick’s litigation experience has included the representation of real estate taxpayers, pharmaceutical consumers and senior living facility tenants in class actions before the Circuit Court, Appellate Court and the Illinois Supreme Court, as well as the defense of tax deed proceedings before the Circuit Court and Appellate Court on behalf of commercial property owners.
Dick’s professional writing includes the publication of an analysis of the Toxic Substances Control Act by the prestigious Washington, D.C. based Environmental Law institute. He has provided pro bono mediation services and mediator evaluation and training for a not-for-profit alternative dispute resolution organization under the auspices of the Chicago Bar Association. He also chaired the administration of the Chicago lakefront region of the American Youth Soccer Organization, with over 2,000 local participating kids.
Dick is a member of the Illinois and Chicago Bar Associations and received his J.D. from the DePaul University College of Law in 1969 after attending the University of Illinois as a business major.
